Damn you, NyQuil! Damn you to Hell!
Strong words, I know.
See, I've been sick as a dog lately. Being a dog owner, I can attest to the truth in that colloquialism; there is nothing more pathetic than a sick dog, nothing more deserving of pity. But I digress...
It's nothing more than a bad cold, really, but it's enough to make me miss the relative health I took for granted a few days ago. Everything seems unpleasant to me. Can't stop coughing. Can't smell anything. Can't taste anything. I sneezed so much it hurts to cough. And then I start coughing again. Dammit.
But... If there's one benefit to being sick (and there are precious few benefits, dear reader) it's the unapologetic use of pharmaceuticals.
So yesterday I took a shot of NyQuil.
And rode the N Train.
Now, dear reader, I'm not one to run to the medicine cabinet for every little headache or sore muscle or upset stomach. I hardly ever take medicine for any reason. So when I do take a dosage, it packs a wallop.
And when I take NyQuil, it's like someone punches me in the face with a big pillow full of chloroform and licorice. It's as if a switch gets turned off. BLAM! Out like a light.
And it isn't a peaceful, restful sleep, dear reader. Oh heavens, no.
I had the most messed up, psycho, effed up, crazy-iNsAnE dreams. Ever. I think in one dream I was a zombie and I was eating my own arm. I woke up covered in a cold sweat, and for a few brief terror-stricken seconds; I was convinced I had peed myself.
(I didn't though)
Then, I couldn't fall back asleep, 'cos I had this craving for beef jerky.
*shifty eyes*
I mean, I don't care who you are, that's just fucked up.
Damn you, NyQuil.
Damn you to Hell!

I KNOW! I think it's the inexplicable magnetism in Shaggy's character...or maybe the way Monk displays his Oscar caliber emotional range. Must...watch.

It was neither scary, nor suspenseful, nor gory enough to be called a horror movie. And predictable! Oy!
I predicted the ending within the first 10 minutes.
ugh x a million.
Now I know why I never saw it until now.

Unlike other movies that involve people being locked in a haunted house I actually found this movie quite watchable.

*points and laughs* the only cool part of that movie was when the lawyer got cut in half by the door. LOL. I liked the slashed up princess *wink*

How dare you talk bad about that movie! Do you have any clue how hard it was to make?!?!
I'm mean they had to take D-List actors, mix them with the script from a 4th grader, directed by my alcoholic uncle and then produced/edited/finished by an epileptic monkey. It was pure gold.

I liked the weird steam-punk(ish) elements, the gears, the cyclopean clock-work. That was good. But the plot seemed desperately obtuse... more contrived than a Clive Barker script. (Admit it. Clive Barker sucks. You know it's true.)
I know, I know... what's MY DEAL?
I think I've been watching too many low-budget Korean horror films lately. By comparison, everything else from seems shinier and glitzier than a rap video on MTV.
MTV still plays videos, right?

Little known secret, bad movies are often found to have alluring cinimatography.. its in the angles, and Flashing scenery.. they hope that distracts the viewer from how shallow the plot is.
